Competition

CULTURAL COMPETITIONS
The students of the Second Shift participated in various cultural competitions in different schools and institutions. During the year around Five hundred and fifty four students represented the school and got one first position, four second positions, two third positions, one sixth position, one ninth position, one trophy and a total cash prize of Rs 5000.

SPORTS COMPETITIONS
The students of the Second Shift participated in various sports competitions at different locations, schools and stadiums. During the year, Seventy Six students represented the school and won 5 Gold, 7 Silver and 9 Bronze Medals. Vikas Yadav of class X- E was selected for the CBSE National Games-2015 which were held in the month of December at Raipur, Chattisgarh.

NATIONAL GROUP SONG COMPETITION
Bharat Vikas Parishad organized the Branch Level National Group Song Competition-2015 at DAV School, Yusuf Sarai, New Delhi on 8 October 2015. Ten students from senior wing under the guidance of Mrs. Sonal Rastogi, Music Teacher participated in it and bagged the third position. Our school also qualified for the next round of state level held in November-2015.

DIGITAL INDIA CONTEST
Digital India Contest was organized in the School Computer Lab on 7 July 2015. Seventy students from classes VI to XII participated in this ‘On-line Competition’. Four students of our school, Sudipto Ghosh-X, Amzad Khan-XI, Dipankar Kishore-XI and Naresh Kumar-XI completed the first level with 100% marks and qualified for the second level.

COMPUTER COMPETITION
A Computer Competition was organized by Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan on 11 August 2015. Two Special Need children of our school participated in it and got the participation certificates.

STAMP DESIGN COMPETITION
The Postal Department, Govt. of India organized the ‘Children’s Play 2015 Stamp Design Competition’ in which about 2000 students participated. Ninety two best entries from General Wing and twenty best entries from Special Wing were forwarded to the Postal Department for the next level of competition.

ANNUAL DANCE DRAMA & MUSIC COMPETITION
Nineteenth Niloy Sen Annual Dance- Drama and Music Competition was organized by Very Special Arts India at India International Centre, Lodhi Road on 21 August 2015. Sixteen students of our Special Wing along with three teachers participated in it. Our School won the first prize in this event.

INTER SCHOOL FLOWER/LEAF JEWELLERY DECORATION CONTEST-2015 Very Special Arts India organized a Flower/Leaf Jewellery Decoration Contest-2015 on 13 February 2015. It was organized to foster creative abilities of children in arts. Km. Bharti Mishra of X-HI and Km. Rupali Jha of X-HI escorted by Art & Craft Teacher-SW participated in this event. It is indeed a matter of pride for our school to mention that they bagged the first prize in this contest.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC COMPETITION
The Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi organized Zonal Level Instrumental Music Competition on 5 August 2015 at Kalka Public School, Alaknanda, New Delhi. Master Prithvi Chauhan of Class-XII participated in Senior Boys Category in Tabla Playing competition and brought laurels to the school by winning the first position.

ZONAL SCIENCE CONGRESS
Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi conducted the Zonal Science Congress at Govt. Girls. Sr. Sec. School, Madanpur Khadar during the month of August-2015. Our students from different classes participated in various events. In Slogan Writing Competition, Km. Anshika won the first prize in the junior category and Km Chahat Kataria won the third prize in the senior category. In Poster Making, Master Sarbajit Roy won the third prize in the middle category.

JAMBOREE CONTEST
Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute, Subroto Park organized ‘Confluence- AFGJI Jamboree’ in its premises on 30-31 July 2015. Twenty six students from General wing and Special wing participated in various Inter School Competitions like Best out of Waste, Heritage Quiz, Symposium etc. Our students brought honour to the school and won seven trophies in different events.
