NCERT WORKSHOP
The NCERT conducted a workshop for Social Science Teachers on the topic‘Teaching of Economics to Hearing Impaired Students at Senior Secondary Level’ in an Inclusive /Integrated education system from 13 to 15 October 2015. The Social Science Deptt of NCERT made an Audio-Visual Teaching Kit for teachers, which was shot in our School. This DVD is to be dubbed in local/ regional languages and to be sent all over India as a Model Lesson Plan to help the general teachers to teach Economics to Hearing Impaired students at Senior Secondary level. Ten topics were covered in this workshop. Mrs Manu Bhardwaj, TGT (Spl Ed) attended this workshop and assisted the NCERT to prepare power point presentation and this Audio-Visual DVD.

WORKSHOP ON WEB-RANGERS
Google Inc. organized ‘Web-Rangers Workshop’ on 9 October 2015 in India to bring together the teenagers from across the country and to train them about on-line child safety at Tagore International School, East of Kailash, New Delhi. Mrs Sunita Sangwan, PGT (Computer Science) and two students from the senior wing attended this workshop. The students were encouraged to stage street plays and conduct campaigns in their respective schools to become active Web-Rangers.

WORKSHOP ON RTE-2009
A one day National Seminar was organized by ICSSR on 7 October 2015 in collaboration with Amity Institute of Saket, New Delhi on the theme “Right to Education – Equal Rights and Opportunities for Social Participation of Students from Marginalized Sections of the Society” Prof. Sushma Yadav and the Vice- Chancellor-IGNOU were the guests of honour for the day. Mrs Chanchal Malhotra, I/c SN Wing, Mrs Debjani Ray, Coordinator (Senior Wing) and Mrs Preeti Kappal, NTT-Second Shift attended it.

HINDI WORKSHOP
A Hindi Workshop was conducted at Sadhu Vaswani School, Shanti Niketan, New Delhi on 6 October 2015 in association with New Saraswati House. Mrs. Sulakshana Sharma,TGT (Hindi) and Mrs. Arti Saluja, Special Educator attended this workshop. Dr. Vinod Prasoon was the Resource Person for the day. It was indeed a very informative and enriching experience for both the teachers.

WORKSHOP ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING & LEARNING SKILLS
Our School in collaboration with Oxford University Press conducted a workshop on English Language Teaching & Learning Skills in the Savitri Devi Auditorium on 1 October 2015. It was attended by all the English Teachers of the School. Shri A.K. Tripathi-Principal and Mrs. Deepa Misra-Vice Principal also graced the occasion. Ms Alka Rai, a renowned ELT expert was the Resource Person for the workshop. It was indeed a very informative and enriching experience for all the participants.

PHYSICS WORKSHOP
A workshop on Physics – ‘Innovation BVN-IAPT Anveshika’ was conducted at Sadhu Vaswani International School, Shanti Niketan, New Delhi on 15 September 2015. The objective of the workshop was to explore the ways of conducting experiments and activities in the classroom to make the learning of Physics reality centered for students. It was attended by Ms Richa Dey, our Science Teacher.

CBSE AWARENESS WORKSHOP ON VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
CBSE and NSE organized a FMM workshop on Vocational Education at Bal Bharti School, Ganga Ram Marg, Rajender Nagar, New Delhi on 16 July 2015. Mr. MVV Prasada Rao, Director (Vocational and Education) CBSE was the Chief Guest. The CBSE and NSE have jointly introduced six vocational subjects – Retail, IT, Tourism, Security, Automobile Technology and Financial Market Management at Secondary level to promote the ‘Skill Development’ among students at school level. The main aim was to spread awareness, training of teachers, examination and certification, NCFM and vertical mobility. Mrs. Anita Sharma-Special Educator (SN), Mrs. Pooja Seth-Special Educator (HI), Mrs. Saranga Lal-PGT (Commerce) and Mrs. Preeti Singh, TGT (S.St.-Second Shift) attended this workshop. It was indeed a very informative workshop.

WORKSHOP ON ASTROPHYSICS
A workshop was organized by Orange Planet LLP at Bhatnagar International School, Vasant Kunj on 16 July 2015. Our Science Teachers Ms. Richa Dey-Senior wing and Mrs Garima Gupta-Primary wing attended this workshop on ‘Planetarium Education’ focusing on Astrophysics. The resource person for the day was Mr. Gautam who conducted this workshop on a mobile planetarium.

NCERT WORKSHOP
Our teachers Mrs. Ratan Prabha and Mrs. Anita Sharma, Special Educators went to NCERT to participate in a two day workshop on Adaptation of Barkha Series for Universal Access. It was held on 21-22 July 2015. Professor Anupam Ahuja, Head Design, NCERT conducted the workshop. Our teachers were invited to review all the booklets and give their suggestions and observations on the content and illustrations. The teachers also recommended making a teaching kit with support material such as puppets, stuffed toys, real objects, tactile material, CDs, DVDs with animation to cater to diverse needs of Children with Special Needs.

FIVE DAY CRE WORKSHOP BY NIMH
Our School in collaboration with National Institute of Mentally Handicapped and Rehabilitation Council of India conducted a five day workshop on “Inclusive Education and Management of Specific Learning Disability” at the Savitri Devi Auditorium of our School from 22 to 26 June 2015. The Resource Persons for this training programme were Dr. Mousami Bhaumik (Lecturer in Special Education from NIMH-RC), Dr. Tanu (Lecturer in Rehabilitation Psychology), Mrs Maryisha Mishra (Rehabilitation Practitioner) and Ms Harmanpreet (Practitioner in SLD at Moolchand Hospital). They spoke on various issues related to the education, training and rehabilitation of disabled children. It was indeed an enriching and informative training programme for one and all. About 35 Special educators, teachers and professionals of our School attended this programme. Gp.Capt. S.C. Bahri, Director-cum-Manager, Shri A.K. Tripathi, Principal, Smt. Deepa Misra, Vice Principal, Smt.Geeta Mallick, Co-ordinator(SW) and Smt. Vandana Baberwal, Officiating Principal- Second Shift graced the occasion.


Our teacher Ms Saranga Lal PGT (Commerce) attended a workshop conducted by The Commerce Fraternity Meet in association with Goyal Brothers Prakashan at PHD Chambers, New Delhi on 16 May 2015. The Resource Persons for the day were Dr. Balbir Singh and Ms Ruby Singh. It was indeed a very informative and enriching experience.p>

ELT WORKSHOP AT AMERICAN CENTRE, NEW DELHI
The Regional English Language Office of the US Embassy organized a three day ELT Workshop at American Centre, New Delhi from 21 to 23 May 2015. Dr. Spencer Salas, Associate Professor in Applied Linguistic in the Deptt of Middle, Secondary and K-12 Education at The University of North Carolina, USA was the main resource person for this workshop. He spoke on various core issues of ELT such as Reading the Word/ Reading the World, Additive Literacy Instruction, Tailing to Learn, Enacting Tests, Learning incomes etc. It was attended by our Principal, Vice Principal and four English Teachers.

LECTURE ON AUTISM AT AIIMS
All India Institute of Medical Sciences-AIIMS, New Delhi organized a Public Lecture-cum-Panel Discussion by the Experts on Autism Awareness on 30 April 2015. Gp.Capt.S.C. Bahri, Director-cum-Manager, Mrs. Geeta Mallick, Co-ordinator (Special Wing) and a number of Special Educators attended this Lecture. It was an informative session about various aspects related to children suffering from Autism. The main focus was given on early identification, behaviour management, treatment and various facilities being provided by AIIMS for autistic children. It was followed by a ‘Question-Answer’ session in which various queries were replied by the experts on this issue.

NCERT WORKSHOP
The Department of Education of Groups with Special Needs, NCERT, New Delhi organized a one day workshop on 10 March 2015 on “Reviewing the Handbook on Curriculum Adaptation at the Upper Primary Stage”. The aim of this workshop was to prepare teachers to teach the ‘Children with Special Needs’ who are integrated with regular students. Mrs. Manu Bhardwaj and Mr. Jitender Prasad, Special Educators from HI Section attended this very informative and enriching workshop. They gave their suggestions and views as experts for the education of Hearing Impaired Children.

WORKSHOP BY AIE
A Workshop on ‘Evaluation and Feedback Mechanism to Promote Excellence in Teacher Quality’ was conducted on 12 March 2015 at Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi. The resource persons for this workshop were Prof.R.K. Mittal, Director, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Prof.Saroj Sharma and Shri Ashok. K. Gaba from GGSIPU, New Delhi. It was attended by Mrs. Sonali Bhardwaj, TGT (Science) and Mrs. Kunjan Abhinav Varsney, PRT (English-Second Shift). It was a very informative workshop for our teachers.
